Citizenship is the highest immigration status in which a person is considered a citizen of the United States of America, with all the rights and obligations that this entails.

People born in other countries can obtain U.S. citizenship in two ways:

The requirements for citizenship are as follows:

  1. Complete the naturalization process.
  2. Being at least 18 years old
  3. Be a permanent resident, have a green card or Green Card for the last 5 years and have remained in American territory at least half that time.
  4. Pass the Citizenship and Naturalization Exam.

Our highly qualified team will assist you in filling the N-400 Form and preparing the package that will be shipped to USCIS with all necessary supports.

This application will be reviewed by USCIS, who will schedule an appointment where they will take their biometric data. You will then need to attend an interview with a USCIS official where you will need to submit the Naturalization Exam, for which you must prepare very well. The Civic Education Study Guide consists of a pool of 100 questions, out of which the officer will ask you 10 questions and to pass you will need to answer 6 correctly.

An English examination, consisting of three parts: (1) an oral examination, assessing its ability to speak English; (2) a reading examination, where you must be able to read one or two sentences in English and 3) a writing exam, where you will be given two sentences to write correctly. This test is mandatory, but you can apply for disability or age exemption.

Once the exam is passed and after the interview, you will receive the date of your oath where you will receive your Certificate of Naturalization.
